JASON + JENNIFER // HURON SUBSTATION // LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

I was so excited when Jason had sent me a message saying he was interested in having me document his and Jennifer's wedding day! Jason and I met at a wedding I had previously photographed and stayed connected on social media over the years. So, of course it's no surprise that I was so excited to see this gorgeous blonde in a photo with him when it popped up on my newsfeed! Well, many photos and just a matter of months later they got engaged.

When I had gone over to their house for our initial meeting, I quickly knew just by Jenn's home decor that I was going to jive really well with them. I know that sounds crazy, but Jenn and I totally speak the same language and obsession when it comes to home decor. An hour and a half into our meeting, us three were still lost in conversation and it was only a few days later I got a message that they wanted to press forward in working together! *YAY!*

I think you guys might know by now that I have really good looking clients (you can refer to my portfolio if you need more convincing)! Jason and Jenn are no exception. Jason and Jenn are REALLY good people with really good hearts. They absolutely killed it at their engagement session - there were too many great photos to count, not to mention the most beautiful natural light. So, I knew come the day of the wedding they would bring their A-game. Due to foregoing a first look, their romantics were at nighttime (something I was not used to), but I think there is something magical and different about them.

Their wedding day was industrial chic and located in a gorgeous venue downtown. This place was seriously amazing. From the moment you walked in you kind of wanted to just grab your sleeping bag and move in. The dim lighting indoors and gorgeous bistro lighting out back made for such a romantic, intimate evening. The entire night was filled with so much love in the room and I think these highlight photos really display that.

Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Kornfeld! I look forward to many more memories in the making!

TANI + SHANE // ENGAGEMENT SESSION // MALIBU, CALIFORNIA

I went to high school with these two soon-to-be-married high school sweethearts! They've been together for seven years. Time seriously flies! It was so much fun catching up with them both and seeing how happy and excited they are to get married. I have to say, Shane's proposal story is by far one of the best and favorites I have ever heard. He's a baseball player, so the sport has been very much a part of both of their lives for a long time. Shane pulled out all the stops and perfectly timed the most amazing proposal on the baseball field, and wait for it - both families secretly watching in the dugout! How perfect?

Tani and Shane were so fun to photograph, and I appreciated that they were up for anything! I think these came out so awesome, don't you think? I posted some of my favorite highlights below.

Congrats you two!! All the best!

THE HUGHES FAMILY // SANTA CLARITA, CA

I have been working with the Hughes family since Owen (their oldest) was in his mommy's belly. I have shot one maternity session, two newborn sessions, and now two family sessions for Andy and Abby. It has been such a joy to watch them grow their family these past few years! I still remember when I went over to their home to photograph Owen for the first time, and now he's a big brother to Luke. Um, side note, aren't they so absolutely delicious?! Having Luke in the mix has made it even more fun to capture moments for this now family of four. One of the best things about my job is getting to evolve with my clients year after year and I'm so glad the Hughes are one of those families that has me along to document their story and growth!

Here are some of my favorites from their latest family session...

While I was getting a few shots of Abby and Andy, Owen decided to dive into them. The reaction? Priceless. SO glad we got this moment.

THE HOUSTMAN FAMILY // MALIBU, CALIFORNIA

My session with the Houstman family was all sorts of dreamy! I absolutely LOVED meeting these three beautiful people. Natalie found me through Instagram (I love when that happens! Thank you, hashtags!) and we very quickly set up a session. Edward and Natalie's little guy Leo had me swooning the whole time! If you didn't already noticed in the photos below, he exudes happiness. He smiled and laughed the whole time! Couldn't get over it! Sadly, they just moved up North, so I'm happy we connected before their departure. So much fun hanging out with you all and look forward to meeting again when I come up North!

LAUREN + STEVEN // ENGAGEMENT SESSION // VASQUEZ ROCKS

When Lauren told me she wanted to shoot her and Steven's engagement session at Vasquez Rocks AND she was going to wear a red dress, I already knew these two would be right up my alley. They both have crazy good style...and, I mean, have you looked at them? They are a gorgeous couple and super down to earth! The day we shot was so overcast, but right when we started to shoot the sun came out. I loved that they both were down to do anything for the shot - even if that meant scaling rock formations or walking barefoot downhill (and in some cases in heels!!! Lauren is a rockstar.). This is for sure one of my favorite engagement sessions to date. Cannot wait for their fall wedding next year! Here are some of my favorites from their session...

LAUREN + TIM // LAKE ARROWHEAD PINE ROSE CABINS

“And I’d choose you; in a hundred lifetimes, in a hundred worlds, in any version of reality, I’d find you and I’d choose you.” - The Chaos of Stars // A line from Lauren's wedding vows to Tim.

I was stunned how at my first meeting with Lauren and Tim,  they quickly knew and made the decision to hire me. It is not only humbling, but so special when a couple feels 100% trusting and sure they want you to be a part of their wedding day. I instantly connected with them. It's not hard to love these two. And it's even easier to love their love that they share. Lauren and Tim have a daughter, Lily, so I knew this unity would not be for just two people, but officially for three. Their bond? Indescribable.

It felt like ages before their wedding day actually came, but I guess that's also due to the fact that they booked me a year and a half in advance. Lauren and I would text weekly about all the details, her dress, Lily's dress, the amazing signs, etc - so, when the day finally got here, it felt like magic was coming together. These two got married at the most gorgeous gem in all of Lake Arrowhead. Seriously guys, this place was insane! As soon as I got out of the car I couldn't get over how beautiful it was and how perfect the weather turned out to be. And if that wasn't enough - hold tight for the tear inducing vows, their drop dead gorgeous romantics, Tim & Lily's special dance together, and how utterly awesome all of their family and friends are. I mean, do I need to even sell you anymore on this wedding? See for yourself below.

Lauren and Tim - I couldn't be more honored that you chose me to document your wedding day. It has been a joy getting to know you both and your daughter, and now having clients-turned-friends for life. You both are truly rare people to come by and I am so grateful to have played a small part in your forever. I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for you both!

Enjoy! - Ashley

The two far right images are a favorite! During this moment I told them that while their walking to just do "what feels right," and what do they do? They look at each other and grab one another's butt at the exact same time! YEP, they are soulmates! And my kinda people. ;)   Check out their reaction below! Awesome!

RACHEL + RYAN // ENGAGEMENT SESSION // GRANADA HILLS, CALIFORNIA

Rachel and I went to school together for years, so I was so excited when she called and asked me to be a part of her and her fiance, Ryan, wedding! They both live in Tennessee, so we coordinated a time for their engagement session while they were out here doing vendor meetings. These two totally rocked their session and you'd never know how insanely hot it was the morning we shot! Like, it was an absolute scorcher. How cute are they?!?! Love these shots we got from their session and can't wait to shoot their wedding in Newport Beach next summer!
